Deputy Kristopher J. Coughlin
Deputy Coughlin proudly served for 4 years as a Machinery Technician in the United States Coast Guard and was stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane out of Portsmouth Virginia. During his tour on the Harriet Lane, Deputy Coughlin was involved in numerous drug busts that resulted in the confiscation of millions of dollars worth of narcotics headed to the US.
He also assisted in the capture of over 500 Haitians and Dominican migrants from illegally entering the United States via grossly overloaded vessels. Deputy Coughlin joined the Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office in June 2012. He has two Bachelor's degrees and is currently working on his Master's degree in Criminal Justice.
