Deputy William T. Fordham  

Sheriff Mark A. Marshall

Deputy Fordham began his Law Enforcement career in 1994 as a Deputy Sheriff with the Hampton Sheriff's Department.  After one year he joined the Poquoson Police Department and then came to the Isle of Wight Sheriff's Office in 2007.  While working in Poquoson he worked both Patrol and Investigations and was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant.  Deputy Fordham has attended numerous law enforcement related schools throughout his career.  He was born in Annapolis Maryland and raised in Newport News Virginia.  He graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College with an AAS in Police Science and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.  He also received a Career Studies certificate in Protective Services while at Thomas Nelson.  

Deputy Fordham then received my BA from Saint Leo University in Criminology.  He graduated from both schools Magna Cum Laude with honors. Deputy Fordham is married and has three children, Veronica, Daniel, and Amanda.  He is also the proud grandfather of five grandchildren. Deputy Fordham enjoys riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles as a hobby along with bowling, billiards, darts, swimming, tennis, and corn hole.
