Lieutenant Thomas O. Potter 

Lieutenant Potter is a graduate of Crater Criminal Justice Academy and has over 12 years of local law enforcement experience in various fields.  In addition, he served 18 months in Afghanistan as an International Law Enforcement Advisor/Mentor.  Lieutenant Potter is responsible for the daily supervision of the Investigative Division as well as the secondary evidence custodian and asset forfeiture coordinator for the Sheriff’s Office.  

He is married and has 3 children.  During his off time, Lieutenant Potter and his family enjoy spending time on beautiful Lake Gaston or supporting community athletic teams.
