We understand that there will be times when not everyone will be happy with our service or the outcome of our work. We want to be made aware of those times when you feel that we do not perform our duties properly.
If you have a complaint regarding any aspect of our performance, we would like to hear about it. There are a number of ways to contact us. A supervisor will contact you and assist you in completing a report to outline the incident and complaint.
Citizen Feedback
The Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office strives to provide outstanding service to both the citizens of the county and to those who happen to be in our county for work, leisure, or just passing through.
We believe in helping to the best of our abilities. It is our job and our duty. It is what we do! We want to assist you and perform our other mandated duties without incident.
There are times when an employee performs his/her duties in a manner so appreciated that a citizen wants to say “thank you” or “job well done!”
We also recognize that there may be times when a citizen may have a complaint or is unhappy with an encounter with one of our staff. If this is the case, then certainly you have the right to voice your concerns.
We want to hear from you, the citizens we serve, so that we can ensure our agency provides open communication and professional, courteous service at all times. We provide numerous methods to speak with us. Please choose the best option that best suites your needs.

If you have a positive encounter with one our deputies or staff and would like to let us know about it, there are a number of ways to do so.
It would be helpful if you know the name of the deputy or employee involved, but it you do not, just tell us about the incident and we will be able to piece together the details.
